Configuring Server Devices

In order to initiate the discovery and addition of certificates to the AppViewX inventory, it is necessary to configure a server device within AppViewX. There are various types of supported servers for both Windows and Linux, each with specific steps for adding them. It is important to configure at least one of these servers within AppViewX. Once configured, any certificates present on the server will be automatically discovered by AppViewX. To accomplish this, ensure that one of the following options is selected on the individual server configuration pages.

• Managed - select this option to discover certificates from a particular device and manage them (perform actions) in AppViewX.
• Monitored - select this option to discover certificates from a particular device and only view them in AppViewX.
• Ignored - select this option if you do not want to fetch certificates from a particular device.
