Discover/Onboard an Other Network Device

Onboard the supported DNS vendor devices to the AppViewX inventory using the IP Address/FQDN. AppViewX will initiate the communication using the provided credentials and subsequently manage them within the DNS Inventory. This functionality is particularly useful for DNS automation use cases.

Onboard any supported network devices to the AppViewX inventory using their IP Address or FQDN. AppViewX will initiate communication with the devices using the provided credentials and manage them within the Others Inventory. This functionality is applicable for automating tasks involving various types of network devices.

To onboard a DNS vendor device into Device Inventory:

  1. Go to Menu > ADC+ > ASSET MANAGEMENT > Device Inventory.
    By default, the ADC tab opens.
  2. Click the Others tab, click add button located upper right corner.
    The Add page appears.
  3. Enter or select the field information in the Add page on the various sections.
  4. Click Save to add an other network device.
    Note:
    • To discard the onboarding of other network device, click the Cancel button.
    • Repeat the same steps to add more other network device(s).
