Configuring Privileged Access Management

For a more sophisticated management of critical data and infrastructure, AppViewX allows for Privileged Access Management (PAM). In simple words, PAM is the practice of managing users/devices/applications that have elevated access to an organization’s most confidential and critical resources.

To configure PAM settings:

  1. To access the navigation pane, in the top-left corner of the screen, hover the mouse pointer over the icon.
  2. From the menu displayed, click Inventory > Device.

    The Device :: ADC page is displayed.

  3. On the Device :: ADC page, click Credential.

    The Device > Credential page is displayed.

  4. From the top right corner of this page, to add a credential, click .
    The Add Credential page is displayed.

  5. From the left pane, select the vendor for whom you want to configure PAM.
    Credential details fields are displayed for the selected vendor.
  6. Enter the Credential details for the vendor.

  7. Click Save.
