Class Management Widget

Class management widget is used to execute actions on the Data group of F5 devices. The data group values can be Viewed and Modified.

Configuration

Enter/select the required information.

Name Description
*Widget Name Enter the user defined Name for the Widget
Note: No special characters are allowed, except '_' , '.' , '-' , '|' , ':'. The name should not start with a special character.
*Select task Select a task from the drop-down list.

  • Create Group: Create a new Group.Default Group would be the Widget name.

  • Modify Group: Modify the groups added.
  • Create Action: Create View/Modify action.
  • Modify Action:
  • Modify the configured actions.
*Group List of groups added in the Widget. Select a group from the drop-down list.
*Name Enter the user defined name for Groups/Actions.
*: Mandatory fields

Create Group

  1. Select task as Create Group.
  2. Provide a Group name.
  3. Click Add.

Create Action

  1. View Class

    1. Select task as Create Action.

    2. Select View Class in Actions.

    3. Select the group and provide Action Name.

    4. Search the data group name in Field Class.

      The list of devices are displayed in Retrieve From.
    5. Select the data group, and then click Add and Save.
  2. Modify Class

    1. Select task as Create Action

    2. Select Modify Class in Actions.

    3. Select the group and provide Action name.

    4. Search the data group name in Field Class.

      The list of devices are displayed in Retrieve From.

    5. Add Attributes to be added in the datagroup.

    6. Add Key in the Integer field.

    7. Add value in the Value field.

    8. Click on the Add icon.

      The added pair is moved to Available Values.

    9. In Selected Values, attributes available in the device are listed.

    10. Use Add/Remove and Add All/Remove All arrows to modify the attributes.

    11. Selecting runtime value allows to modify the attributes at the time of execution.

    12. Select the devices on which the action has to be executed.

    13. Click Add and Save.

Execution of Configured Actions

  1. Click the Play icon on the Group.
  2. Click the action name to be executed.

View Action Execution

View Action will get the data group attributes from the device. Click on Fetch to get current values from the device.

Modify Action Execution

  1. Add/Modify the attributes and push it to Device Values.
  2. Push the devices on which the action has to be executed.
  3. Click Execute.

View Logs

For a particular group each Action Execution logs are maintained. Newly added attributes are easily identified. Action status is also updated. For any failure in action, the failure logs are updated in status message.

Rollback

The last action executed can be rolled back. Select the action, and then click Rollback.
